Update..Reservation made for 1 room and 2 double beds at AHoliday motel...Scooterrazzi HQs...

I just updated the list of attendees. We are up to 31 planning on coming as well as some maybees. I realize that some on that list will have stuff come up and not be able to come but with nearly 6 months still to go I expect the list will grow quite a bit.
I am planning on making some changes this year. I think we will only have two days where we all ride the same route and two days where everyone does their own thing like last year where we had a bunch of groups go in various directions. That day worked out really well. I think we now have enough people coming who have been to more than one previous event and are starting to be familiar with the area. We had a number of ride leaders last year and they all did well. On the days we ride the same route we will still split into smaller groups. With the number of riders we are likely to have it won't just be a fast and slow group. I'm thinking at least three and maybe as many as five groups so i will be looking for some group leaders.
The two rides i am thinking we will all do are the Marshall ride which I believe is one of the best twisty road routes on the country and the best of the event. The other route will be the one we did last year which stopped at the highest point on the parkway for a group pic.
Anyway, that's what I am thinking. Any thoughts, inputs or questions are welcome. This is OUR rally, not my rally so everyone has a voice in how WE run it.

By this time tomorrow I expect to be on my way to this event. Here in Alabama the temperatures have been in the 90s with a heat index over 100. The Forecast for Maggie Valley for next week is highs in the 70s

The dragon is pretty tame compared to some of the roads we will be riding. The dragon has all the hype......and all the traffic. There are much twistier roads out there and many of them have almost no traffic.
