One of the best (my opinion) documentaries of the cannonball is by quasimotard on Youtube. And the good thing is he is doing it again this year with video on youtube to be coming. That is pretty cool. Have not heard of that before.
There were around twice as many as last year. The number keeps getting smaller every day as riders drop out for various reasons. I'm looking forward to day 7 on Saturday as I will head up into TN and watch then come by.There are a LOT of riders this year!

He shredded a belt on day one and changed it in the desert and still finished 11th. After day three he is in 6th place. I'll bet he finishes in the top 5, maybe as high as 3rd. I don't see him catching the two front runners unless something happens to them.I know the desert is hot but I think the Plains will be harder because it doesn't cool down as much at night.
Anyway, it's a lot of fun following everyone. I can't believe DaBinche is riding it again! That guy's stamina is really impressive.
Hondas just do better with OEM parts. I know a couple who rode the TAT on Groms. The things that failed were the aftermarket shocks they installed. I just haven't heard good things about the reliability of aftermarket Variators or belts. The only aftermarket parts I would consider would be some sliders.Quasimotard #103 is on a trailer. He has parts on the way (Variator, clutch, belt, ...). The chat implies he is putting it all OEM.
But that will be tomorrow evening. Poor PCX is on a trailer being towed by a Prius....so embarrassing![]()
