I just bought another Dong Fang DF250RTG. I had one several years ago and sold it.
So far so good. Fixing to head to the tag office to get it tagged.
It arrived in a crate.

Put her together with no problems.

Started right up and rode her around the yard.

The crate became another work table in the shop.

Now off to the tag office to get her legal. Wish me luck.

Nice...the steel and cardboard gets used around here. Maybe a little mini hack?

Maybe if I can find a small sidecar to attach to her.
Just got back from the tag office and all is OK. Now I need to get it added to my insurance and then I can go riding.
Saddle bags are supposed to arrive today.

Cool looking bike.
What is the top speed? How is the suspension?
Seat looks a bit thin....
pushrod motor I think, keeps the motor short and the weight low in the motor, like old Triumphs.
I wonder why more motors don't use pushrods. Long stroke is coming back, why not pushrods?

Brett, have you ever read the backstory on the CG125 pushrod motor?

I alway try to picture the rocker geometry of a unilobe cg cam. Interesting concept that I believe dates way back. One reason why clones are appealing is the pushrods and no cam chain.

Over 2900 miles on the Monkey now, mostly in the dirt.
I have been clearing a lot of firebreaks and singletrack trails, miles and miles of moving trees and branches and triming underbrush.
Very fun on the Monkey.

The firebreaks are a real hoot on the Monkey!

Great stuff!

My Dong Fang DF250RTG at our now lot on Sanibel Island thanks to hurricane Ian . I had to put up a fence since idiots were riding on our lot spinning circles leaving big ruts and trash.

The bike is running just fine. She along with my Ural sidecar and an Ice Bear 150 scooter will be up in the mountains of Western North Carolina for the summer at our place. The riding is just wonderful there with curves and elevation changes on pavement and off pavement.

Are you going to rebuild?
