I was thinking about my grandfather earlier...
One morning, he asked what I'd like for breakfast?
I was a kid.
Cookies, of course!
He was a man who firmly believed in a daily constitutional, trimming fat off a steak, hard work, and moderation in all things.
Of course, there would be no cookies for breakfast.
He was probably around 60 years of age then.
Later, in his 80s and 90s, I could not help but notice that he might have a cookie,or doughnut, or danish for breakfast.
He would smile and laugh.
My grandfather has been gone for a while now.
Today, I had a cookie for breakfast.
Thinking of him, I smiled and laughed.
