196cc vs strom 1000...woo hoo the trails and saw dust mountain are waiting.

I wrappped the comelman to maybe 6k after 3 derails and found my line...I broke the throttle cable from ...I guess fighting the governor..epic...epic freaking day. The neighbor was blasting trails on an atv and it took a minute but the walk of shame.

The neighbor crushes through the swamp. The icebear was kind badass and went 5 states as a 50cc in 42hrs. The new scoot has been a tuning nightmare.

Some points were earned in the bike I would trust solo riding in the middle of no where

Ahh...main crop around here is pine. It use to be tobacco. The woods pics are just trees. So I take pics in the cutdown. Winter pics work out better for trails and the woods.

Having ridden through logged areas before and I can say that you're definitely crazy. :lol2

This was my first trip to the UP with the bike in '21. I'd only had it for four months but I had been practicing my log hopping and felt confident. They logged a bunch of acres near my friend's property and I volunteered to grab some coordinates of the extents.

I was doing pretty good until I wasn't. I got hung up, dropped the bike, busted off another blinker and once I got it stood up it was wedged in pretty good. I thought I was going to go into cardiac arrest; pouring sweat and breathing so hard by the time I finally got it free.

I even got myself a souvenir!

In retrospect I'm lucky I didn't break an ankle out there! :lol2

Yes! We are planning on clearing the trails this winter. The bugs and visibility is an issue in the summer. And yes that is logging cut downs. Which is hard enough to walk through. I got far into the cut down a few months back. I got water locked in. There was water holes everywhere and stumps. The woods trail was close by. I got frustrated and wanted off the cut down. The last hole was 3ft across and clear water. I was thinking crap clear water doesn't exist here. I figured probally 6ft deep or more. No jump and no path for speed. I was basically in a briar patch also. I found a small log for jumping the bike over the water. So I ghost rode the coleman from the side. I popped the bike into the air as I jumped also this mesely 3ft gap.....

Now I was on the atv track with 18" deep water. I tried to stay on the crown! But kept slipping back in the rut. The coleman was a beast. The rear tire drenched me mud. Kinda of funny I tried to cheat and bypass the water logged trail by heading across a logging cut down. Lesson learned! This would have been a very bad day on my klr.

The top 3 concerns in riding over cutdowns.
Breaking bones from dabbing a foot..don't dab or keep toes pointed up.
Getting stabbed by a piece of timber.
Snakes. Timber rattlers and others

So I don't recommend riding in logging cutdowns thick woods/swamps or debrise piles. But if you do it good luck.

I think those are crazy pics. Riding over debrise piles is kinda nuts. I walked the line over that one log pile 1st. Almost easier to ride up than walk up....the whole time keeping an eye for rattlers or other snakes.
