How do you like the ergonomics? I'm 5'10", and thought the desert sled was fit for someone about 6'2".

I really liked it though. What's not to like about an enduro with an Italian v-twin?

Yup. That's about the same as my Aprilia Dorsoduro. I can only get my toes down. The handlebars on the Desert Sled feel taller than my Aprilia. After my experience on the cramped original Hypermotard, the desert sled is a breath of fresh air.
