I used to soak hi load piston wear bands in hot water, easier to stretch in place.
I need to stop by and help you run that a bit.Temporary rig with a short track until it makes enough lumber for it's own shed.
I can hear you, Possum. It's quiet 😁 Killed the crank bearings in my MS230 with an attachment like that. They're fun, but hard on a saw.
I bought a saw case. All the leaking stuff stays in the case and not on the stuff around it.I have an oversized cookie sheet the saws get stored on.
If the saw goes in a vehicle, it gets placed on a towel.
My go-to saw is a Husqvarna I pulled out of a dumpster years ago. It had a bent up 18" bar on it and I installed a 14" bar. It has a hole in the muffler that I assume was caused by the dumpster, so I tuned it. That damn saw flat rips with the smaller bar on it.A few years back when my girlfriend was closing her business I pulled a Stihl (if memory serves) chainsaw out of the dumpster, it was nice & clean in its case. Looked like it had been used just a few times. I've got it in storage and it'll get a turn when I'm out of bike projects. I remember looking it up on YouTube then & found lots of videos for this & that, lots of T-20 torx screws on that thing.
Come on. I'll drink tea and supervisor while you slave away 😁I need to stop by and help you run that a bit.
I burn a bit of wood too...
GSD on the right for scale...
Rows on the right are full cords each, 24 feet long x 4 feet high with 16 inch splits
Stack on the right are 2 cords per at 48 feet long.
About 3 cords a year. We're in the desert in Central British columbia, so there is about 1/4 inch of punky shit on the bottom after ten years.Wow, how many do you go through in a year? Is it dry enough there that you can just leave it uncovered?
That's very nice!Wanted a shorter axe just for limbing. Walked out of three different hardware stores after not being able to buy anything American made or event decent. Ordered this thing online and was worried what would show up, but boy, opening this package made my day.
Nice crisp forge marks, signs of a proper heat treatment, head fits the handle very well and is on straight.
Grain don't run off the handle in either direction, and again, arrow straight.
Council Tool Sport Utility 2.25# Boys axe w/ 26" handle. $66 off eBay to my door. Only $20 more than that plastic handled junk I saw hanging on the wall locally. I'd say check em out if you're needing an axe.
