First real ride today, almost 20 miles. Rides nice. I'm not used to the soft suspension, but that will get fixed soon. No odd noises, and the fairing is the "cone of silence".

Also, first time the whole bike has seen the sun.

On my first longish test ride I had an issue. At about 25 miles at 75mph it lost power and started kicking and bucking and some afterfire.

After some investigation I found that the intake boot was leaking. So I took it apart and rebuilt the carb.











All back together awaiting a check ride.

During warmer weather Craig Vetter cut 3" holes in the lower corners of the windshield and added pop-vents. He's got a how-to on his website. I've got a few dozen of these pop-vents, shoot me a PM if interested in a set cheap.

Got around to the front brakes today. I have previously bled them, but the pads were nearly gone, and the disc grooved. I replaced the pads and sanded the discs. I'll give it a ride this weekend.

Sweet nice work as usual Jim, I rode sportster for a couple of years, loved it, but outgrew it.

Your bike has the longest front fender I've ever seen - looks cool! How is it at freeway speed, I wonder? I could imagine the lower rear portion scooping some air.

I had some concern about the fender, but it is a non-issue. The bike does 75 with ease and is smooth. The fairing really works well.

Seeing the picture with the black fairing, I wasn't sure. Once you got it painted and added saddlebags, it really came together! I love it! It looks like a great mid size tourer.

Yeah, I wasn't 100% either, but I think it looks good now
