Hey, I rode up to Maine, specifically Kennebunkport, last weekend for a wedding. It was sunny and windy on the way up, calmer on the way back down. Getting caught up in the NYC bound traffic in the last two hours makes me want for more leg room than my '02 Sprint offers. But the bike performed flawlessly despite its age and high mileage (mid 50K miles). I didn't stop in a location suited for moto/landscape photography, so here's a bikeless pic.

Balmy 46f on the commute into work today. Really gotta mount the Moose foam ears.
Saw 51° on the way to work one day this week. I was pretty chilled. On the way home, it was 91°. Since I had worn warmer gear, I nearly suffocated.

Michele and I were able to go for a ride around today. Along Rte 4, west of McAdam we saw a beaver lodge with a satellite dish! Stopped in Saint Andrews for lunch at The Algonquin, and saw another boat load of windmill blades arriving at the port in Bayside. It was a great day!

All Pizza Hut locations in the Netherlands closed during Covid. I felt a desire for a Pepperoni Lovers with cheese filled edge. So, off I Effed to Belgium for Pizza.
It was delicious.

Followed the TET for a while on the way back.

It was a bit too wet in places (I know, I'm a sissy). At least the bike was dry during this river crossing.

Had the 30,000 km service appointment today at the dealership in Dieppe NB. It’s a 500 km round trip, so I was on the road early at a chilly temp of 5 degrees. Saw some cruise ships in Saint John Harbour, and a big cow across from the Irving/Circle K in Sussex. There were some nice red Italian bikes on the showroom floor to lust over. Also snapped a pic of the RS on the lift. It was a much more pleasant 22 degrees for the ride home late afternoon.

Out for my fall ride around the back country of Charlotte County today. Not much left of the fall colours, after all of the wind and rain a few days ago. Although it was nice to see the river’s running good.

A little over 300 km loop from home. Enough smiles to last the winter…..

I forget about this thread, but I really like the low bar for participating. After all, most of my rides are not grand adventures, just an afternoon escape. I gotta remember to contribute after my next ride. :thumbup

The forecast for today was a high above 50 and sunny. For January that's a great day for a ride. I ended up riding with 8 friends on some middle Tennessee Back roads.

6 out of 9 bikes were European bikes.

The sun came out today after a few days of cold, rain and gloom and it was a nice and balmy 40 degrees. Since I had some errands to run I did them on two wheels. While I was out I checked out the Rocket Park on Redstone Arsenal.

There were two rocket engines on display.

So you think your bike has power?

IMG_20230203_132503082_HDR.jpg

For comparison, an F22 raptor has two engine producing 35,000 pounds of thrust each.
