This was always my favorite thread at the old haunt. Looked around here and didn't see where it's been revived. Apologies if this is a duplicate.

Doesn't have to be bike related, just anything you've made yourself. I love seeing other people's creativity. Metal fab, woodworking, leatherwork, art... anything. Let's see those skills!

Most folks post this info over at the thread

so Knowing that, Do you want this thread deleted?

The garage thread is cool. It feels more suited for " I think I'm going to try these tires next" or a general bike modification area. I had a different vibe in mind so I'll drop some examples, I just wasn't trying to make this thread all about me 😁

Sometimes I make "scrap sculptures". CB750 camshaft, GM 12 bolt spider gears and various other junk parts.

Dabble with woodcarving occasionally.

Designed and built this light fixture awhile back. 1/8" aluminum sheet, scroll saw, lots of hand filing and sand blasted the glass to better diffuse light.

Stuff like this is what I had in mind. Always interesting to see what others were creating and getting ideas from them.

Nice looking light fixture, curious as to how much time went into making it.

I needed a couple weeks to get the artwork settled. Not my strong suit and I kept screwing things up. Once I had the designs how I wanted it took two evenings after work. Probably 6-8hrs for actual construction.

And thanks 🙂

You've got some talent Shinyribs!

What else have you made?
Thanks man. I enjoy building things.

Finished up this little bench. Our old Goodwill dining room table that got converted in to coffee table status a while back. It's pretty cheap construction, but we hated to see the inlay get trashed so I made this.

Chopped up the apron pieces and rearranged them. Made new legs from sawmill off cuts. Screen is a radiator cover saved off a job.

Ended up with some strong Alice in Wonderland vibes somehow 😂

My woodworking tools consist of a bad Skil saw and a chisel, so don't look too close! Was very happy that the fogginess over the inlay cleaned up so well. Shellac, so some alcohol and fine steel wool spiffed it right up.

Very nice! You’re right it does have some Alice In Wonderland vide but I like that. 👍

I think this is a tool //

I installed a new 12v winch on my home made goose-neck crane, used for hunting to load pigs and deer. problem was every-time you opened the clutch to freewheel, you got a birds nest.

So I made a spring loaded winch tensionser out of some scrap steel

Finished this lamp. Mostly guts from a busted Yamaha SR engine. Everything been scrubbed and coated with polyurethane, so it's not stinky or messy.

Thank you, Honda, for using such photogenic rotors 😁

Nice job! But I'm mostly jealous over the pig hunting. No wild pigs around here. I would love to have the ability to harvest one a year to keep in the freezer.
