We Ride Silverton every summer. As a Ride Leader, I tend to always bring 1 or 2 new riders with my small group
Black Bear Pass
Some great riding around Silverton for sure. Living in Telluride, a lot of my rides are in this region, although admittedly we spend more time riding Peach Valley north of Montrose because it’s what my son and his friends prefer. Dirt bike heaven most days.

Wilson Mesa trail is a great singletrack outside of Telluride

Haha yeah that is the butt pucker spot with the blind turn to the right.
I have ridden them all….Stony Pass from Silverton to Creed can be OK crossing the creek near the Roosevelt Reservoir in the morning and rise quite a bit in the afternoon from snow melt. It does get your attention.

Ranger would not allow Bikes to Pass as water levels were rising , this was early , 10 AM IIRC.
Day before a Jeep was washed down stream here, Driver survived, Passenger did not.
