2004 Vstrom 1000, runs great! Around 24,000 miles. New battery and start solenoid last year. Flushed coolant also last year. Valves checked at 20,000 and were in spec, new tires and chain and sprockets and timing retard eliminator/ speedo healer and K&N also at that time. VStream tall windscreen with Madstad brackets and laminar lip. Crash bars, JC Whitney trunk and large standing pegs installed, Oxford heated grips. Strong running bike, I am the 3rd owner that I know of and all 3 were inmates. I bought it from a riding buddy about 5 years ago and just haven't ridden it much over the past year.
Cons:
One fork has started to weep, clutch slave also weeps. I planned to fix both this spring but I have just been to busy.
Seat has separated about an inch at the seam at the passenger/rider slope.
Bike is located in North Florida.
