January 28, 2023, I rode part of the GOAT (Green Country Oklahoma Adventure Tour) South loop. I made some variations to the route so I could see some new sights and ride some new roads.

I parked my truck at the Tenkiller Dam overlook and rode out from there.

I cruised through Tenkiller State Park. I was being watched by a couple employees, so I waited until I was out of sight to ride down to the shoreline.

In the park, I passed this big rock. The carvings are Norse for "Jay was here."

This road paralleled a stream flowing with water from recently melted snow.

I was going to call you guys and see if you wanted to ride but I didn’t have a dime.

I stopped at Sparks Corner Store and Grill in Sallisaw for lunch. Sadly, mine was the only bike there.

A curved low water crossing. Most of them here are straight.

A fitting name for a part of the GOAT.

This is Old Stagecoach Road. It’s my favorite part of the route.

This is the long, low water crossing at Lee Creek. It’s usually not over the top but this day it was flowing.

After Lee Creek, the road runs through the hills and woods for about 5 ½ miles. It’s a public road but not maintained. I met four side x sides near the end of it.

I left the route here and rode Hwy. 101 back to civilization. This is the bypassed 101 bridge over Lee Creek.

After leaving 101, I rode a few more gravel roads before ending up back on paved roads.

The trip odometer trick was coincidental.
