I always love finding artifacts when tearing into old homes. Many old builders tucked a newspaper in the walls when building.

This collection was found behind a tub surrounded that had a gap at the top, where it met the wall.

:lol3 Crazy the stuff we find! Yeah, back when I lived up in Chicago, I always used to find newspapers, life magazines, stuffed into the eves.

This cabin, built shortly after the civil war when the survivor walked home. Ancestors owned it until recently.

13 snake skins were found in the wall behind the shower. Guessing this used to be a porch. Was a total gut.

Street where I grew up. Fall, 1983.

My parents property is on the right, ending about even with the power pole on the left. 12ac of wooded hillside. All of this...is housing now. Road is double-wide, stripe down the middle. Parents sold and moved in '06.
