I needed a way to carry stuff on the mower. I frequently have to pick up sticks in the yard, or carry the chainsaw around to clean up deadfall. I have to park the mower and walk the deadfall to the brush piles. This will allow me to toss it on the rack and keep going. I welded a 2” receiver hitch, vertical on the front. Then I modified a hitch rack, taking 16” out of the width. Then welding the hitch tube vertical. This keeps the footprint of the mower the same. Putting the hitch on horizontal would have put the basket way out front and made maneuvering more difficult.

I was pretty happy with them, it has probably been close to a year since I welded something.
If that's the case then yeah, you should be. Good looking beads. Guess welding is like a riding a bicycle too, just like riding our bikes... you never really forget. I'm envious of those who can weld that nice and have the equipment too, I can't afford to put the money into something I wouldn't use often enough to justify the expense but it's so handy to have it when you need it.
