Yep, except that getting of and back into the city takes surprisingly long. It's better if I can get out in the morning before 9, but traffic back into the city remains a bitch.

Time was when you could have ridden next to the RR tracks...
Rode a nice dualsport loop from the west end of New Windsor out to Chester 2 weeks ago. Almost no roads but did have to cross several. There are still abandoned railroad beds here that haven't been paved our (yet). Bonus is lots of singletrack available off of the sides as well
