What's new

Well be that way- furst from NY!

Yup, now those old RR roadbeds are mostly paved and turned into bicycle paths...at least they did something with them for everyone to enjoy.

Hey folks ... kinda quiet here.
Can anyone recommend a suspension specialist in the NYC area? I could use some expertise in tuning my bike's ride.

Brooklyn this morning ...

Oh hell yeah, I have ridden up there on a few bikes, driven the hell out of it, used to hang at night with an absurd spotlight and 'daylight' the people drinking on breakneck, and have climbed down from there. We used to drive down the tracks and swim in the river, when we weren't swimming and shooting and climbing at the old brick factory that was just a bit north of the bridge.

A few weeks ago? A month? Friend and I stopped at the cold-spring bike get-together on a pair of bone stock XS750s.

Have bombed around a corner a few times up there to discover a fair sized rock in the road.

My friend was hanging out at the lower area, squid got on his superfast bike, took off, missed a turn, crashed, dead right there.

Its a place to exercise a bit of care!

Sorry to hear that. I wouldn't be surprised if it happens more than once a year, but still.

I should be the last one to talk about being careful up there, I dragged my CB500 centerstand so much up there the ball sharpened to a spike, and I would throw my celica around with abandon.

Always late at night and after checking for debris and other vehicles though.

Ah, one of my favorite bikes I've owned...many happy hours touring in the '70s and '80s with my XS and Windjammer II fairing...
