I measured a rear brake drum actuating shaft so that I could order a spring from McMaster Carr.
My local JCM dealer wouldn't return my calls.

Took an idea off of a Facebook (ugh!) group about using sticks to help learn balancing. I don't need this support as much in the dirt but on the concrete floor this did help just a little bit. I'm not convinced I'll continue using them, they don't help that much and it feels like cheating anyway. Plus I can use all the exercise I can get anyway, putting my feet down and remounting each time I lose my balance.

That was my friend Dave who posted that idea on FB. I need to give it a try.
