Like Rory gallagher he was great live, remember the summer of 1974 June i saw him at notingham university i was 16 my sister was in the notingham halls of residence at the time9 Clifton) , she got the tickets cheap through the students union. Did the trip down on my New to me Yamaha 16er special 50cc moped. a 500 mile trip in total.
Slept on the floor in her flat was totaly drained after the ride down with 45MPH Cruising speed and tiny gallon and a 1/2 tank.
Awesome concert Rory toured a lot and was a true entertainer. I always feel he never got the true recognition he deserved He was popular but far lesser artists got more recognition and air play on the radio than rorry. just sayin.
