Reminds me of a book cover I made while working as a CNC machinist.
I ran a giant mill that took over an hour to complete a cycle. It was painfully loud, so I sat nearby and read while monitoring it. The plant manager bitched that I should be reading trade magazines or the operator's manual (I wrote the manual), so I printed a fake cover with drill bits, calipers, and micrometers on it. The next he checked, I was focused on The Big Book of Holes, and he was satisfied that I knew my place in the world.
I'm lucky he never handled the book. Les Misérables or The Worst Journey in the World didn't have anything to do with my wretched job, and I doubt Plant Manager would've appreciated the effort it took to pull his photo from the company's website for the back cover, along with the bio I wrote for him.
