I had a CT70 before this, but that little '72 CB100, for 13 year old me in 1978, was pure freedom!
I still get that feeling today. Doesn't matter the size, make, model. Dirt, street or anything in between.
Motorcycles are just the tops!

I had a cool, hand-built racing go-kart at age 9 acquired from the guy who built and raced it (father's co-worker) but had no idea I'd get involved with bikes later.

Me and my Dad on a Sachs 2 stroke of unknown size (150 maybe?) when I was around 10 or 11.

My first bike, a Honda CA102 Cub, bought used and beaten up in 1968 for $50 by my father... unbeknownst to me, he planned to give it to me to keep that Christmas. I opened my last present, a small box, and in it was the key to the bike I'd been riding and learning on all summer with a note that said "Happy motoring!" It was a POS but was the beginning of a lifelong love affair with 2 wheels

I’d have to dig for original pics but the first little mini-bike me and my brother rode the crap out of was a Chibi. Googled image…

Then somewhere along the way my older brother picked up a Yamaha 125 Enduro which was good for wicked jumps. I repainted it Allis Chalmers orange whilst I was repainting one of Dad’s tractors and rode that all through high school.

Very cool. If that Vega in the garage is still around, you need this LOL

I think alot of us can relate. I lost all of mind in the "Great Divorce Wars of the 80's".
Yeah, I can relate more than most. I was 3 times stupid, divorced in the '70s, again in the '80s and again in the '90s. Finally found the right one in 2001, we've been together over 20 years now (literally 7 more years than the other 3 combined). Oh yeah, and I lost a lot of stuff in those 3 stupid times too, of course

After my Dad got me on a bike at 14 and he already had one, we taught my Mom to ride on a CT70. After a few months she graduated to an SL100. This is one of my favorite pics from our camping days, less than a year after she started riding at age 44
