Around here Buffalo Trace is still cheap and can be found in the Metroplex with not much fuss

Buffalo trace is very good but the controlled release cause prices higher than they should be. I recommend Woodford, Jefferson & Makers Mark. Bulleit is good too.

My fav reasonable priced bourbon is Elijah Craig Small Batch.

Elijah Craig Small Batch is very good, about the same price as Knob Creek 9yr 100 proof.

It's very nice, not "hot" but a nice warm finish. Its kinda neat trying all the different Bourbon's .

Deep into a bottle of Maker's Mark...

A little "hot" with a spice finish, added club soda for a mixer.
The bubbles bring out different aromatics.

I'm truly blessed !

Sitting on our pool deck with SWMBO enjoying a few adult beverages. I retire next Friday after 16 years, grateful we're debt free. Planning a vacation to the Barber museum and surrounding area in June.

My go to bourbon has become Knob Creek 100 proof 9 year with club soda. The club soda really wakes up the flavor/spice/aromatics in the bourbon.

Looking forward to vacation, we'll be near several local distilleries. Might try to take a tour and try some new stuff.
