I know some people who eat Iguana's and make quite the dish with it. Haven't had it myself but from what I hear it is just like ....chicken..
The other population that is out of control are the morons releasing non native species in the wild....

I've got a bit of a rant here (Ma lived in SW Florida for years):

Some years ago a fool or two turned their pet iguanas loose and since then Floridians have been paying people to come along and shoot them.

Then, yesterday, I saw a story about a small town that's overrun buy peafowl and are paying for someone to come catch them and some vet to neuter them.

Neither species is native to the region and both populations are out of control!
So why in the Sam Hill are these (ahem) people paying to clean up the mess when both critters are EDIBLE???
