I have one of these that can also double as a dry bag. The DIY one is maybe $50 worth of ABS pipe and the couple fittings. I feel like Yinzer Moto had something neat in one of his van/box truck/bus camper setups.

Lol, we have industrial strength baby wipes. If I were to do some type of shower, I would just do the Coleman Propane shower. I don’t want to have to worry about winterizing anything in our van, so a stand alone system is what I would choose.

Been using one of these at the summer cabin for a couple of years and occasionally in the van as well. It’s cheap, simple and does the job without wasting too much water.

When the battery dies I think I’ll get one with a switch in the shower head.

Last year one of the guys on a Dive Boat showed up with a portable with a foot pump for pressure. Worked pretty good too

That ☝️style is so simple. I can't see needing anything more. Pretty sure it'll pack up small enough to not even matter.

I found some Corny Kegs and converted one for pressurized water use. It's a food grade stainless steel container that holds 5 gallons of potable water. I think most soda vendors have gone to bag boxes or other methods to deliver syrup, but Corny Kegs are popular with home brewers, so parts are easy to find.

I added a Schrader valve to the lid, and connected a kitchen sink sprayer to the keg's outlet. I pressurize it with a 12V compressor I already use for my truck's tires, and the lid already has a relief valve.

The only concern I have with it is a leak, since it wouldn't take long for it to empty the contents once pressurized. I've avoided that by venting the pressure or disconnecting the outlet fitting, but adding a small ball valve immediately after the Corny Keg quick connect would be a good idea.

I haven't tried to add a heat source to a Corny Keg, but I found a good deal on a smaller one that's all metal. I figure it wouldn't be hard to warm it by a fire or over my stove, and I've seen some heating elements that might work well with my camper's electrical system.

I find it easy to have a good shower with less than 3 gal. of water as long as the shower head is valved for on-demand use. If anyone is concerned about collecting gray water, an inflatable wading pool works well.

I know that's aluminum and wonderful, but I'd make one out of 4" ABS before dropping $500 on one.

I didn't realize they made a 10 gal. version. That's a lot of weight to strap to the worst location possible.

Yup, as noted in post #2, at $500+, I'm out

It's all relative, tossing a 10g pipe full of water in the bed of 2500HD aint gonna matter.

A plastic pipe mounted laterally a top a fuel cell in the bed may be an ideal place to mount one.

sketched it in yellow, this might work

I think that's a great spot for an ABS model. If you want potable water, I'd suggest a plug in one end so it's easy to clean. Otherwise, cap both ends, add a Schrader valve & a relief valve, and a low bung for an outlet, and get to showering. It might help to mount it with a few inches of grade toward the outlet, too.

For me, the obvious place for something like that would be attached to the T-slots on the frame of my camper, but like I said, that's too much weight in the wrong place on my truck.

I have a propane powered Zodi hot shower, but my go to is this cheap DIY contraption. Just heat water on the stove and dump it in. I suggest starting out with a new sprayer :lol2

My brother in law has a propane fired hot water system that will burn your flesh clean off if you want it to.

I forgot that we used a new 2 gallon pump sprayer for a few years. For the price, it's hard to go wrong with one of those. Paint it black, and a Schrader valve could be safely added to one that has a relief valve.
