It's a good looking bike you have there. I like how the foot rests/controls are near the rider.
The bike is definitely heavy. On the go, because the CG is very low, it handles really well. It's no sport bike though and does not claim to be one. It's a fun bike to ride. I've always wanted a large cruiser but I'm not much of a Harley fan. I owned an R1200C back in the late 90s. It was my first BMW. I was too much of a sport bike guy at the time to really appreciate it though. The R18 feels right. It looks great and it's rewarding to ride. The solo seat I have on is about 3 inches (may be 4?) taller than stock and makes a big difference.Whats it feel like to ride, is its weight kind of low down and goes sort of unnoticed as such?
or is it kind or there from the get go.
Sounds good i figured it might be weight low down, and they do look good i like it and i have only ever seen one other BMW i like and that is the 1939 R51 500cc. i think BMW must have been eating a big plate of pretty when they made that, its much nicer than the ugly they generally eat.The bike is definitely heavy. The bike is very heavy so my 100 pound wife didn't make much of a difference. The bike handled just as well. I took off the windshield and that made a huge difference. Because I sit really straight with wide open arms, It's hard to ride faster than 65 mph. The lack of fairing helped a lot with buffeting. I can't seem to figure out a good size for a windshield. No windshield, no problem.Nice! Was wondering how the 2 up ride was?
