AXP skidplate? Is it any good? Or should I send it back and get a Flatland?
Keep it. It is Very good.
First install is a tad tricky, then after a few heat cycles that sets it and from then on it is easy to remove for cleaning/oil changes.
Brake Snake to AXP
Plastic skid plates are quieter. A nice thing on a dual sport where you may end up droning down some asphalt for a while.
I have AXP (I think made in France) skid plates on both the mighty WRRRR and the Elle. No issue, even on the less beefy WRR model. And yes, it's quiet and slides pretty well.
Removal of the oil filter covers (plastic case cover+ actual oil filter cover) is a bit cumbersome on the Elle..

Mine is a 5 min oil change with the axp ?

Nope. it clears the Water pump. I specifically checked on it during install.
