What's new

What did you do with your trials bike today?

Brought the new steed home. Excited. 2021 factory 250. Time to get this party started!

So what did Mal buy?

A bunch of us have purchased plates from HDScarbro on the other site. He 3D prints them for Beta and TRS (both bikes with voltage regulators behind the headlight) and I must say they work brilliantly.

What shithead engineer at Beta decided to mount the voltage regulator behind/attached to the headlight thus making it impossible to remove the headlight and attach a number plate?

There. I fixed it.

You only need the voltage regulator if you want your cooling fan to work like it should. A buddy of mine found that out the hard way.

Well, my friend that bought the old Suzuki RL250 is thrilled. He said he had a similar bike, but 125cc, as a kid. He's been stuffing his pockets with beers and riding around his neighborhood to show all his friends.

His wife is a bit confused about what the bike is. She keeps saying it is street legal (it has a green sticker), and that she looks forward to the two of them hopping on it and riding into town 10 miles away for dinner. They are 2 full size people, so that might be a challenge on the solo seat. It would also be a long ride given the bike's low top speed. :lol3

Snapped on a set of kydex fork gaurds from NW cycle and went and rode it for the first time. Definitely need to adjust some ergos a little. Dunno about the flat pegs, I've gotten used to my s3 curves but will ride these for next weekends event before I change them.

Bike took a couple unexpected dirt naps but other than that it rides great! 😆

Yeah, that bike was set up for a Kiwi leprechaun. :lol3

Adjusted the bars and levers. Took the guy who bought my Montessa out for a little introduction before his 1st event next weekend with us.

Bike is feeling good. It's still a little sleepy though. Keeps napping.
