Here's a weekend ride report: Last Thursday I rode up to Lake George, NY, to spend a couple of days at Americade doing demo rides, just for fun. I rode about 16 bikes over two days, from the BMW R18 Classic to the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandelo. The ride up was slab-only, but on the way back I wandered down Rt 4, make stops when something called to me. Then I took the Taconic Parkway, which is both fun and fast. Of course, making my way home involves patiently making my way through traffic - paying my debt for having fun outside of the city.
Last morning at my campsite.
A bike I never thought I'd ride, but what the hell!
Even some wild cars show up to Americade, turns out.
Very nicely built R65.
The Champlain Canal and lock.
The Saratoga Battlefield (site of a major defeat for British).
Proof that I rode some pretty cool bikes!
Almost every bike I rode - missing are two that I liked the most, the BMW M1000R and the MG V100 Mandelo, and the Tracer 900 GT, which was surprisingly disappointing.
