Oh yeah, for the bike I want is something the replace my tired V-Strom. Needs to be decent on gravel roads but comfortable enough for long trips. Kinda thinking KTM 790/890 but not sure about the 21/18 tire combo for highway riding. I've drank the orange Kool-Aid and the EXC-F needs a like minded stable partner.

No clue. Looks like a simple fork swap and wheels. Longer shock or different dogbone for the added height.

Machine up some hubs and hit up Buchanan's for spokes and rims. Stem swap the forks and probably a front master cylinder change. I'd say a grand in parts if you can do your own machine work. If you could find a crashed bike with mangled forks for a could grand it could be a nice winter project for not a ton of cash

Yes!! And race gas almost smells like sweet burning plastic. I use pennzoil marine. The dt230 engine is suppose to be durable?

A dealer had a stripped down fjr. It was cool. Not sure how much weight was missing. I was very tempted...I think $4k
