After a much to long winter, with many long days at work that would run into the long night, I finally was able to get the swamp donkey out for a short shake down after some maintenance, its easy to forget something when the repairs are stretched out over the long darkness of winter.

Didn’t go to far, wanted to just get back home and check things over.

A bit chilly out today, the high was around 60 but the sun was out, just a few miles west of here on M-28 there has been some logging activity with new two tracks cut, did a little wandering on those then came onto some tracks I’d never been on, not hard to do around here as they seem to be everywhere and going in all directions, a lot just peter out after a ways but thats ok it looks different coming back.

Notice the color of the sky in the background, I didn’t, and I should’ve.

Never used to see this, but nowadays with the proliferation of side by sides and the accompanied destruction they bring to the two tracks how long till no one is allowed to enjoy.

Stopped here to wait out another rain shower, Black creek rd.

The rain showers where moving from the northwest, so it was go back east and be wet and cold, or go north to Superior then east and just be cold, I chose to just be cold.

Blueberry fields forever.

Evening ride last night on the old DR after my yard work, got back around dusk. 76 mile solo run taking trails and roads less traveled, I did not see anyone out in the woods, just a few dirt bike & atv/utv tracks... Lots of erosion, rocks, and water still, challenging and fun!!

The soil is more limestone down this way,the two tracks are almost like riding on pavement, its actually quite nice.

Saint Martin Bay on lake Huron, as far east as I can go for now, turn around and head home.

Out on the Valkyrie with a chum on his 950 Yamaha, went about 300 miles just meandering around.

It’s about 8-9 miles south of US 2 in Gulliver, the last 4 miles or so are hard packed dirt and pea gravel.

The Tahquamenon River bridge north of McMillan....driven over that a thousand times.

Our family camp was out that way....spent 50+ years crossing that bridge.

Unfortunately, the cabin was on leased land, and the lease holder sold the property this past spring. :baldy

I was in that bridge last spring!

I got to talking to the guy who owns the general store there on 28. He’s a dirt biker. :thumb

front tire is not worn out, you need to wheelie less.
